At the end of June Russian Sahaja Yogis participated in a Tour about the Republic of Tatarstan (in the south of Central Russia). The Public Programs were visited by about 1000 people. The protocol of self-realization was suggested at each of the programs.

On July 17, at 7 pm, in the exceptionally fairy-tale environment, a Sahaja Yoga concert on the territory of the sport and entertainment complex “Olympus” was conducted. At the top of Marhotsk mountain ridge, from the cableway a picturesque view on the City of Gelenjik and the Black Sea was uncovering for the viewers.
Sahaja Yogis from several Russian cities were taking part in the concert: Chelaybinsk, Ekateribnburg, Pyatigorsk, Krasnodar with the support of Gelenjik and Novorossiysk. The purity of the mountain air and the grand landscape carried the state of lightness to us when Read the rest of this entry »

Yaroslav city was preparing for its 1000th anniversary. Buildings, squares, streets, roads were being repaired, reconstructed, and decorated.
In the network of the preparation for the anniversary of the city, new initiatives, sugestions were appearing. One of them was the initiative of JSC Russian Railways to conduct an event under the name of “Volga Embankment is an Area for Creation” under the support of the city administration each Saturday from May 1 to July 31.
There were five pavilions along the Volga Embankment where groups from different cities demonstrated their works.
As for us, Sahaja Yogis, we were invited to take part in the action “Give up Alcohol and Cigarettes” on May 22. Moreover, Sahaja Yogis were allowed to arrange their posters and to give realization.
Kolomensky SY music-group “Sangeet Ananda” performed very successfully during an hour. The audience wished to meet with this group again.
Our activity was appreciated by the organizers of this event and we were invited for the participation in the Friendship Parade of Nations on June 12. Moreover they offered us much space for the whole day where we could present Indian culture, conduct a workshop on Sahaja Yoga, perform Indian music, paint the visitors’ hands in mehendi style and dress them in Indian national clothes.
Before this event, our collective offered a havan at the collective meeting, we asked Shri Agni Deva to take away all the problems and obstacles interfering with our Sahaja work. All the arrangements were made. We were ready!!!
June 12 came. In the morning the lowering sky and drizzly rain plunged us into some gloomy state referring the upcoming parade. But we were going and a phone call from the organizers took away our uncertainty.
By this time Sahaja Yogis from Kostroma, then from Moscow arrived. Joy was flowing. The family was gathering. It was Heaven!!!
The group being responsible for the decoration and preparation of our area went to prepare it; the rest of us began to change their clothes for the parade as we were to present India.

Dear all,
Here are the news about my own experience in Togliatti Academy of Indian Music and Art (Russia). The students are accommodated in a rented house at the moment, but next year the new buildings will be ready to host yogis and yoginis of any age and from any country….
The director of the Institute, Vladimir Zakharov, took me for a visit of the new beautiful buildings, entirely made of a local wood, as Shri Mataji suggested. The lovely smell of this wood is all around. There will be a large garden for open-air meditations, shoebeatings, outdoor sports for the youngest students and for practicing singing and musical instruments.

Jai Shri Mataji!
In one of the cities of Russia the approach to the organization of the Public Program was a little bit unusual: it is advertised not as a concert of Indian music or something like this but just as “Sahaja Yoga”. The result of it was that real seekers came to the Program. Please, enjoy the whole story:

The Tour for spreading Sahaja Yoga in Greece was organized by Greek Sahaja Yogis with the support of the Russian Council. The advertising poster on which all the dates of the Public Programs were indicated was offered to Shri Mataji at the celebration of Sahasrara Puja 2010. As Greek Sahaja Yogis told us, an event of such a large scale took place in Greece for the first time.
Five Sahaja Yoga concerts were conducted in the network of the Tour.

Dear brothers and sisters,
Please, allow us to share the experience of our city collective when spreading Sahaja Yoga last month. It is the same atmosphere that now exists in many other Russian cities, the same mood.
Sahaja-May in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia
In May, four Sahaja events took place in Nizhny Novgorod – not any weekend was spent in vain! During this month about 250 people were able to awaken their Kundalinis and to know about Sahaja Yoga and we’ve got new people at our meetings for newcomers. It should be also mentioned that we were given halls in all the places of our programs for free – the main thing was to find the format for the talk about Sahaja Yoga which suited for each certain place.
May 10: Sahaja Yoga in “Ayurveda”
SY Public programs in May started with an “Indian Parlour” in one of the stores of “Ayurveda” net in Nizhny Novgorod. We are acquainted with the director of this store because we’ve met with each other at different events devoted to India. That is why on May 10 we were given a hall for the concerts and presentation of Sahaja Yoga for free. In the morning our Yuva Shaktis went out onto the streets with flyers and tried to attract as many seekers as possible to the program. Probably, because it was the day of a national holiday not many people came to the program from the street – only about 10 but the hall was not empty: the employees of the store came to the concert and there were also some Sahaja Yogis who had practiced Sahaja Yoga some time before but then “were lost” – we were very happy to see them again.
A concert, mehendi, Self-realization protocol, mutual tea drinking – the program was really very heartfelt and one of its results was that the director of “Ayurveda” agreed to give us one of the halls of the store for weekly meetings for newcomers for free. So, already for a month, in addition to the general collective meditations, we have had meetings in that hall – “cleanings”: our collective have been dreaming about such a place for a long time already. Besides, one of the employees of the store has started practicing Sahaja Yoga.
May 16: “Indian Sunday”
In May, a creative studio was working in Nizhny Novgorod CityCelebrity.ru of the federal portal “for the celebrities and those who’d like to become them”. This project was financed by cosmetic and pharmaceutical companies – the whole month, in a beautiful building right in the center of Nizhny Novgorod, different “talents” of Nizhny Novgorod were conducting workshops on design and handmade, photography, makeup, etc. We learnt about this creative project from Samara Sahaja Yogis and decided to suggest the organizers to hold “Indian Sunday” on May 16, a bright holiday with a concert, mehendi, meditation…
The program was long – from 1 pm till 9 pm. We started with an Indian beauty saloon which included inner and outer transformation: from dressing into a sari and mehendi painting till Kundalini awakening. There were lots of people who wished to try all that! Most of them were the youth of 16-30 yrs. old, “glamour”.

On May 14, 2010 one more concerts was given in secondary school # 5 of the Central District of saint-Petersburg. School Director Tatyana Voloshek expressed Sahaja Yogis enormous gratitude to the music collective of Indian classic music “Sahaj Sangeet” and the dance collective “Satrangi” on behalf of the school administration, pedagogic collective and students. She also said that they would like to cooperate with us again and again!
“You had to just see! Even the most inveterate hooligans were listening to the concerts with palpitating hearts. How do you do it?..” – it is just a small fragment of emotions which the teachers of the school felt after the concert. And it is one of the proves that Indian classic music instantly transforms and changes people for the better.

From May 12 till May 15, 2010, in Saint-Petersburg, in the Exhibition Complex “Eurasia” there was held an exhibition “Gifts of the East”.
Sahaja Yoga collective took an active part in that event. There was a stand with the picture of Shri Mataji and the subtle system and there also was a large number of Sahaja reference-information literature as well as the books written by Shri Mataji and Sir C.P. Music was constantly playing: ragas, bhajans. The visitors of the exhibition got information about SY centers where the meetings for new-comers are organized. Much literature advertising Sahaja Yoga (booklets, visit cards, invitations to the concert) was handed out. During the three days of the Exhibition, at the stand with the picture of Shri Mataji, about 300 people got their self-realization expressing much interest in that spiritual movement.

On May 19, 2010 when Saint-Petersburg spring had poured everything around with greenery and freshness, in the center of the city, on the Neva Embankment, in one of Saint-Petersburg people’s favourite places of rest, in the concert hall “At Finlandsky”, there was held a Music and Informative Program “Open the Truth in Yourself” devoted to 40th anniversary of Sahaja Yoga.
At the entrance of the concert hall we were meeting our guests with much love and warm-heartedness. The artists of mehendi were painting the hands of everyone who wished. The streams of vibrations were flowing from the artists’ hands onto the palms of seekers creating cool breeze. Everyone who wanted to get to know Indian traditions closer had an opportunity to dress her/himself into Indian clothes. The guests could take part in the creation of rangolis (Indian patterns made of many-coloured sand). The guests were also offered a new development of European Sahaja Yogis “Stress Management” which is used for managers and business people. All who wished could get their self-realization at Sahaja Yoga stands.
The concert started with a video about the Kundalini in which Shri Mataji’s voice was saying: “The greatest Guru which we have is Love, Sahaj Love…”
