Friendship Parade of Nations in Yaroslav, Russia, or how Sahaja Yogis Work as Mother’s Channels

Yaroslav city was preparing for its 1000th anniversary. Buildings, squares, streets, roads were being repaired, reconstructed, and decorated.

In the network of the preparation for the anniversary of the city, new initiatives, sugestions were appearing. One of them was the initiative of JSC Russian Railways to conduct an event under the name of “Volga Embankment is an Area for Creation” under the support of the city administration each Saturday from May 1 to July 31.

There were five pavilions along the Volga Embankment where groups from different cities demonstrated their works.

As for us, Sahaja Yogis, we were invited to take part in the action “Give up Alcohol and Cigarettes” on May 22. Moreover, Sahaja Yogis were allowed to arrange their posters and to give realization.

Kolomensky SY music-group “Sangeet Ananda” performed very successfully during an hour. The audience wished to meet with this group again.

Our activity was appreciated by the organizers of this event and we were invited for the participation in the Friendship Parade of Nations on June 12. Moreover they offered us much space for the whole day where we could present Indian culture, conduct a workshop on Sahaja Yoga, perform Indian music, paint the visitors’ hands in mehendi style and dress them in Indian national clothes.

Before this event, our collective offered a havan at the collective meeting, we asked Shri Agni Deva to take away all the problems and obstacles interfering with our Sahaja work. All the arrangements were made. We were ready!!!

June 12 came. In the morning the lowering sky and drizzly rain plunged us into some gloomy state referring the upcoming parade. But we were going and a phone call from the organizers took away our uncertainty.

By this time Sahaja Yogis from Kostroma, then from Moscow arrived. Joy was flowing. The family was gathering. It was Heaven!!!

The group being responsible for the decoration and preparation of our area went to prepare it; the rest of us began to change their clothes for the parade as we were to present India.

What strange events started happening!!! The weather changed for the best. The rain stopped, it became warmer and we felt the smell of ozone.

By 11 o’clock buses had arrived and we were brought to “rendezvous” where the music was playing; people in national suits were smiling, signing songs, and dancing. When we came out of the bus, a short photo-session began. The atmosphere was peaceful, all the hearts had opened and everybody greeted each other. Vibrations were flowing!

In rows consisting of 6 people, the column started moving along the Volga Embankment. The parade was headed by the politic party “Single Russia” and then the representatives of Ukraine, Byelorussia, Germany, etc. followed. There was triumph and solidarity. It is Shri Mataji’s dream to unify all people in joy and love. And it really happened! It seemed all the Deities gathered to greet this event!! There was something strange in the sky! Dark large clouds were moving from all the sides. It seemed to us that it was late night! The wind drew in detail “triple somersault” but we were going hand in hand in non-broken rows.

We felt unusual easiness within, wanted to cry “Jai Shri Mataji!!!” and the heart cried. In reply Vishnumaya was throwing numerous lightning which were spilling all over the horizon and thunder accompanied this enchanting spectacle! The linked arms didn’t allow us to fly up; we felt our Mother and Her blessings.

At last Shri Krishna threw the first drops on our Sahasraras. The rain started which turned into a downpour but we decided not to leave the column. Nobody wanted to stop the march as each of us realized that it was our cleaning.

We sincerely wished each participant of this event to get self-realization. And God heard us: the rain stopped and we occupied places near the stage. The Russian national anthem began to sound and it the official grand opening of the event was announced.

The Kundalinis flung up into the sky penetrating everything around with vibrations. The long-expected sun appeared!!! Jai!!!!

We meditated when the official men were giving their speeches. After the peace march we moved to the pavilion where our posters and decorated tables for painting mehendi were waiting for us. The presenter announced the workshop on Sahaja Yoga.

Our performance was opened by Irina from Novosibirsk who performed Shri Ganesha dance which gathered multitude crowds. The protocol of Self-Realization followed. Sahaja Yogis from Kostroma gave self-realization easily, with love and then mehendi painting started. The people who had tried on saris and kurtas, came up to the posters for self-realization and with the words: “We have gone through the ceremony and want mehendi!” took seats at the tables. The “astrologer”, Lesha, gave some necessary advice at the appropriate time and then sweetly initiated the seeker into Sahaja Yoga “secrets” giving self-realization. In such a way the action was unraveling at the Volga Embankment directed by Shri Mataji where we were Her channels.

Meanwhile Moscow music-group “Liladhar” was singing bhajans and kawwwalis. They performed them for three hours. The audience didn’t want to leave us – there were queues to getting self-realization.

All the Yogis’s faces were shining; they shared their emotions and tasty sweets. At that moment tiredness seemed as something pleasant and loving. Relaxed and lucky we were in Paradise, in Our Mother’s house, where there was only love, love, and love ……!

It became time to leave and every one carried this paradise in his heart to his town and to his collective!!!

We are bowing down the Lotus Feet of our Mother with much gratitude for this Day – the Day of Unity on June 12!

The whole group of Yaroslav city thanks all Sahaja Yogis for participation, assistance, keeping attention on this event.

With sincerity,

Svetlana, the coordinator of Yaroslav city, Russia

P.S. all the participating groups were awarded with Diplomas and presents and to our great surprise we the stall of Sahaja Yoga was shown on the central TV channel “Russia” in the news-block and on three local channels too.

Jai Shri Mataji!!!
