First Sahaja Yoga Public Programs in Azerbaijan

Let us share with you the joy of spreading Sahaja Yoga which we got conducting the first Public Programs in the capital of Azerbaijan – Baku City. Those were the first Sahaja Yoga programs in this country. We were inspired by the January messages of Shri Mataji in which Mother called to us to go to the countries where there is no Sahaja Yoga yet and to hold Self-realization programs there.

From the very first moment Mother’s great attention was felt very strongly. While preparing for the Programs in Baku, 5000 posters were pasted about the city. Large banners were placed in the subway. Ads about the Public Programs were seen in the main Internet web-sites of the country.

In one of Her talks, Shri Mataji advised us to go to churches and to give realization there. In Baku, we were given such an opportunity for the first time. All the main halls during that period were occupied and absolutely spontaneously the building of a Lutheran church was rented by us in the centre of Baku for the Programs. It is an old building constructed in 1896. It is quite symbolic that it was officially opened on March 21, 1896.

Azerbaijan is a Muslim country and it was a Great Play of Mother that Russians were performing Indian music in a Christian temple giving realization to Muslims. Four civilizations: Slavonic, Muslim, Western and Indian – gathered in one and the same place at one and the same time thanks to the great work of Shri Mataji!

Two Public Programs were held in Baku. There never were vacant seats in the halls. About 600 people got their Self-realization during those two days. The representatives of TV and the Press visited the Programs and we held several press-conferences including the one for the Central TV Channel of Azerbaijan.

During those blessed days we always felt Shri Mataji’s support and care as everything that was taking place was the fulfillment of Her Divine Will and brought joy to the Great Goddess.

After the Programs, more than 40 people came to the follow-ups. Those were Azerbaijanians who wished to get acquainted with Sahaja Yoga deeper.

We thank our Great Mother for the fact that She inspires us to carry a cleaning knowledge of Sahaja Yoga to this world and to spread this knowledge in the countries where there are no Sahaja collectives. We believe that in each of these countries there are seekers who are waiting for the opportunity to get Self-Realization and to meet with the Divine.
