Impressions of the Yuva Shakti New Year Seminar 2009-10 Held in Russia

“I came to the Seminar only on Jan. 2 but even during a couple of days of the Seminar I was able to penetrate into the atmosphere of it. This time the program was richer than last years: we held Pubic programs (right in the camp where the Seminar was taking place and in Samara City), participated in the YS seminar, enjoyed a marvelous New Year’s Eve and collectively studied dances and a bhajan.

And cleanings and meditations due to which one reaches a good state were, of course, the basis of the Seminar.

Sahaja Yogis who had been to the Puja in Rome joined the Seminar in the middle of it. So, all of us had a chance to listen to the impressions of Christmas Puja offered in Italy.

After the arrival of Shri Mataji in Russia many things have changed in the minds of Sahaja Yogis. Our Holy Mother is bringing us closer to something that we should be ready for in the future and She is doing it in such a soft and tender manner that it seems that nothing really happens but suddenly you understand that you are not the one you were – you have grown up.

In comparison with the last year, the number of participants of the Seminar doubled. It was so pleasant to see new faces!

New Year Puja was offered on December 31. Music is flowing, brothers and sisters are worshipping Mother with rose petals – everything is filled with love and joy. Presents, snowballs, fireworks – everything that gives us such pleasant and unforgettable moments of the New Year…

On January 1, hard “cleaning working days” started. Though, it was hard only at the morning meditation. Knots, lemons, shoebeatings and deep meditations fill you with more strength and powers every day. You happen to sleep less and less but your physical strength does not end and you get a supply of energy for the whole day at each morning meditation.

On January 2, Dmitry Korotaev, the Russian Coordinator, returned from Italy and shared his experience of the recent Pujas with us: “The feeling of joy did not leave you even for a moment and it was growing and growing…”

On January 4, we were collectively studying the bhajan Guru Onke Guru.

“A Journey about the Countries of the Virata”. The program with this name turned out to be a collective studying of the national dances of different peoples. Muladhara – India – the dance with sticks – we did not study it long as it was too difficult . The dance of Africa – we felt like Bushmen dancing around the fire – it will be quite appropriate at the wedding . Court dances of England – will be quite to the point at the wedding registration ceremony. Greek sirtaki is used at the collective gathering of peaches to increase the harvest of the following year. The Bulgarian dance is not very different from the Greek one and used almost for the same thing. The Russian dance, the dance of our beloved Ego, noses upwards and chests ahead, and here we go… The Chinese dance performed by sisters personified tenderness, beauty, modesty and grace. And finally we all dissolved and expressed our deepest gratitude to our Divine Mother in the dance of Sahasrara.

I will start my story with the words that I did not get a chance to be present at the autumn International SY festival in Togliatti when Mother blessed all of us with Her arrival in Russia. Frankly speaking, I was very upset but even staying in my native city, Novosibirsk, I felt that something great was happening then (and is happening now). Each piece of Russia was blessed, everything was wrapped with it…

When coming to the winter Seminar, while approaching the venue of it, the vibrations were getting stronger and stronger making me look into the window with wide-open eyes. It seemed to me that in a moment I would see those vibrations in the air. And the mind itself, without any efforts, was getting rid of everything “extra”. All the thoughts worrying me some time before started looking funny, they lost their importance. It was happening because the air there was different. It was filled with Shri Mataji. Somewhere there, in one of the camps which look so much alike, Yuva Shaktis had gathered. Respect and love for them was overfilling me. It was impossible to believe that the happiness to meet them all (and AT THE SAME TIME) was true. And some beautiful voice within me was repeating, “It is Mother’s Love. It does not have any bounds. It is She who bestows these blessings upon you even not thinking whether you deserve them. It is Mother’s compassion. And that is why you are here”.

The first morning meditation was very strong. It was felt that the Yuvas had united in one whole and we were in one stream of energy which we all are when we are together.

The most beautiful thing is to realize that in your attention you can always feel yourself as a part of this stream, just stay in this attention and you will always be in that powerful meditation which, if you want, can last after the protocol.

The most interesting thing is the following: we all know that God controls everything and, consequently, he can stop the time… or make it go quicker. So, a few days of the Yuva Seminar was turned into a few weeks by God for me. And I am not exaggerating
