Char-à-banc is an open carriage people of the 19th century used to travel on in many countries. “Char-à-banc. The Wheel of the Time” – that was the name of the Festival of modern ethnographic music that took place in Nizhniy Novgorod, Russia, on 19 June, in an outdoor museum. That museum is an outstanding place in its own way. In the middle of the last century beautiful samples of wooden Russian architecture were brought there from all over Nizhny Novogorod Region to be collected baulk by baulk.

Sahaja Yogis were representing Indian folklore at the Festival as well as traditional painting with henna – mehendi. We also gave a workshop on Indian classic dance.

Opinion about the performance of our bhajan-group “Turia” published in the Internet by some viewer: “It is beyond praise. Firstly, Indian music is beautiful. Secondly, they were very-very loud-voiced. Thirdly, the instruments were almost absolutely ethical. Except there was Read the rest of this entry »

Jai Shri Mataji!

With much pleasure, we are inviting Yuva Shaktis of the whole world to the Seminar which will take place on August 3-5, 2010 (before the International Sahaja Yoga Festival) in the international Sahaja camp on the bank of the river Volga. We are inviting all the other Yogis (who because of some reasons do not consider themselves Yuva Shaktis) as well!

Peculiarities of the Seminar:

The program of the Seminar is organized in such a way for all of us to become deeper with the help of cleaning techniques and meditations and to share collective joy of worshipping our Divine Mother. And also to have a very good rest and to spend merry time enjoying the company of each other.

Our collective seminars will be organized in the following way:

The basic idea of the seminars (three in number) – learning and sharing experience. In the network of the seminars collective discussion and interactive games will take place (everyone can take part in them). There will also be much Read the rest of this entry »

“I came to the Seminar only on Jan. 2 but even during a couple of days of the Seminar I was able to penetrate into the atmosphere of it. This time the program was richer than last years: we held Pubic programs (right in the camp where the Seminar was taking place and in Samara City), participated in the YS seminar, enjoyed a marvelous New Year’s Eve and collectively studied dances and a bhajan.

And cleanings and meditations due to which one reaches a good state were, of course, the basis of the Seminar.

Sahaja Yogis who had been to the Puja in Rome joined the Seminar in the middle of it. So, all of us had a chance to listen to the impressions of Christmas Puja offered in Italy.

The energy we got at the Seminar should be enough till the International Sahaja Yoga Summer Festival :)

Nikita M., Novosibirsk

After the arrival of Shri Mataji in Russia many things have changed in the minds of Sahaja Yogis. Our Holy Mother is bringing us closer to something that we should be ready for in the future and She is doing it in such a soft and tender manner that it seems that nothing really happens but suddenly you understand that you are not the one you were – you have grown up.

In comparison with the last year, the number of participants of the Seminar doubled. It was so pleasant to see new faces!

The Great Visit of Holy Mother to Russia
(a letter to a rakhi-brother)

My dear brother, I am hurrying to share my impressions of the Great Visit of Holy Mother to Russia with you and the whole Sahaja family. September 11, 2009. Early chilly morning. The day is breaking. Thousands of Sahaja Yogis are leaving their sleeping bags, putting on their warm jackets and hurrying to meditation on the bank of the Volga with smiles on their faces. The plane with Shri Mataji will land very soon. The Russian land is in complete standstill waiting for Her Holy Feet. The realization of Mother’s and Her beloved husband’s Great Sacrifice – to undertake such a far travel for the sake of their children at such a venerable age – gives rise to awe preparing our chakras, channels and hearts.

And here is the much awaited news! We all are lining on the sides of the road. The torches are lit. All of us being in festive clothes hold rose petals with sinking hearts. The wind has come to a standstill. Even the Volga has stopped its flow – it only reflects the first rays of Sublime Suriya. Silence. But here come the sounds of drums – MOTHER enters the camp! Joy and Love fill our hearts and the hands shower Her car and Her way with tender petals of roses! It has happened!!!

“There is some small universe in your head, absolutely empty, and joy. One couldn’t even imagine that one day Shri Mataji would come to Russia”.

Yaroslav Salmin

Sahaja Yoga International Festival in Russia, 2009

“When Shri Mataji and Sir C.P. arrived at the Puja, yogis just showered them with ovation and love, without any fanaticism but with all humility and complete response. Such things simply make you admire”.

Lyudmila Lomakina

Sahaja Yoga International Festival in Russia, 2009

“Fabulous pure energies of Yuva Shakti, they are ancient souls indeed, they have lots of dedication and love and all the time Mother gave them much attention, and it was felt that they are Her hope… And then we saw Mother off and there wasn’t any sadness, there was only peace”.
